Worrying is a total waste of emotion!
Regardless if you worry or not, the outcome will be whatever the outcome is going to be.
Your thoughts and your feelings have the power to re-direct your life.

If you are going to think, might as well think of thoughts in your favor. See yourself as GOD sees you, Whole, Healthy and Complete. When you begin a new endeavor, see yourself being successful with it and at it. LOVE Yourself enough to ONLY wish you well! When you have trials and tribulations, think grateful thoughts for the lessons that the situation will bestow upon you!!

Bet on yourself!
LOVE Yourself!
Consider thoughts a seed; plant seeds that will give you the fruit that you are longing for.

“I Bestow Blessings Upon You!

As I study the teachings of Joel Osteen I am now convinced that I have the Power to Bless others as well as myself.

Reading the 11th day of Joel Osteen’s daily word, it inspired me to bestow a Blessing upon ALL of my readers:

I Declare Abundant Blessings Upon You and Yours. GOD Blessed you with Faith, Peace and Understanding! As you walk through the day
I Bless you with the Faith you need in order to encounter your day Victoriously.
I Bless you with Peace so that you can walk through your day knowing that ALL IS Well!
I Bless you with understanding to convince yourself that no matter what you see you will be the last one standing.

Children MUST have Responsibilities!

One day before CHRISTmas a lot of us are going crazy shopping and giving our children EVERYTHING they want.

How do I feel about this practice?
I feel parents my age from 40 to 55 tried too hard to please our children, including me. You see, we we wanted to give our children what we did not have, and what we have done is created a generation who feel they deserve everything they want. At first it was cute, but now that our children are becoming young adults we are seeing that perhaps this was not such a good idea.

Our children need responsibilities and they need discipline, and it is not too late. They MUST earn what they receive from us parents just as we earned everything we wanted and needed as we grew up in the 60’s 70’s and 80’s.

I have a lot of clients that do not like me saying this, but the reason why our young adults are the way they are is because of us. If your children are not 18 – 30, and you are having a hard time getting them out of your house, you are still supporting them after they finished college, if you are still giving them allowance, we have no one to blame but ourselves.
The beauty of it is that is not too late!
You can decide in 2014 to allow them to take responsibility for their own lives!
They have to be responsible for the actions and the consequences their actions create!
We MUST stop bailing them out!

Our Children came from us but they are not us!

Our Children came from us but they are not us!

Don’t cut your child’s wings because of your dreams and aspirations. Your dreams are yours. Their dreams are theirs! As parents we are here to Guide, Cultivate & Support their dreams!

The Late Rev. Dr. Mary A. Tumpkin taught me many things during the 20 years that she was my Spiritual Teacher. One of the lessons that I received, and understood without much studying was: My two girls, Nie and Cat came from me but they are not mine. GOD sent them here for a reason; GOD put within them EVERYTHING they needed in order to fulfill their Destiny. GOD has a plan for them and I have no right to tell them who they should become.

I guided them into activities and they selected the activities which made their Hearts soar. Nie is an actress by birth. Is in her blood, and though a lot of people would disagree with their child following an acting career, my thought was, that is what makes her happy.

Cat is a speaker, a writer, a spinner. She might be a lawyer, she might be a writer, she might be a journalist, she might be an activist, she might even be a Politian. These are things I see in her, but never will I influence her (only guide) on who she will be in life.

Parents, it is not our job to divert our children’s dreams. Our job is to guide them, to show them their options, and ultimately, only our children can make that the decision.

LOVE YourSelf

When you read the words in the sand, you consider it elementary. Of course You LOVE Yourself! Really? Do you really LOVE Yourself?

Look at your life, look at the choices you have made, if you were someone else, would you say you LOVE Yourself? Below are a series of questions, answer them HONESTLY, and you will get a general idea on how you feel about yourself:

When is the last time you went to the doctor for a check up?
When is the last time you did something nice for yourself?
When is the last time you put your feelings, needs, desires before someone else’s?
When was the last time you said YES to you?
When is the last time you exercised?
Do you smoke?
Do you drink excessively?
Are you doing something to your body that you know deep inside is not healthy?
Are you following your doctor’s orders?
Listen to your self-talk, what do you think about what you are saying to yourself.
How do you feel when someone give you a complement?
How do you react when someone want to do something nice to you?
Do you ever call yourself a name?
When is the last time you took a nap?

As we enter 2014, let us all choose to LOVE Ourselves!
Believe it or not, LOVING OurSelves will allow Us to LOVE others more!

I Am Betting on Me!

I Am Betting on Me!

Worrying is literally betting against yourself!

As I forge forward with my Life Coaching practice, my main objective is to have my clients believe in themselves, LOVE themselves and choose themselves. I understand, and live that at times this is a challenge, and I am always trying to find new ways of getting the point across that WE MUST Choose Ourselves First!

When the student is ready, the teacher will come! As I looked for ways to drive my point across, the Universe placed this GREAT sign in my way, Imagine that!

“WORRYING IS LITERALLY BETTING AGAINST YOURSELF!”

Just typing it makes me smile! 🙂

I want to bet on Me! I want to be a Winner, I want to be able to live my life knowing that at the end of the day, no matter what, I am going to win regardless. GOD made me in His Image and His likeness, what else is there for me to do than to win? I have no other choice! I get it! As I feel like this about myself, I can’t help but to transfer this feeling to my clients!
What A Blessing!!!!!!!

As we begin to prepare for Our BEST year yet, 2014, I think this is the PERFECT sign to think about, meditate upon and commit to memory as we begin to think of a new opportunity to begin again.

“I Am Imagination!”

Life will be so much more enjoyable if we used our imagination more frequently!

When we were children we use to use our imagination on a daily basis. Then, we grew up and something happened.

I challenge us as we get ready for 2014, to choose to make our imagination part of our 2014 resolution.
We will use our imaginations to see our Lives like we really want it to be. We will use our FREE time (driving, just before we fall asleep, when we wake up, etc.) to imagine a situation that we want.

I am starting it today, who wants to join me?

I Am Strong & Very Courageous

You need someone in your life to speak words of encouragement to your body, your mind and your soul. Why can that person be you?

You and I are Stronger than we think! You are much stronger than you think. Anytime you are going through something that may seem uncomfortable, remember that GOD gave you everything that you needed to be victorious in the situation.

When you find yourself in situations that require your growth, remember you have the ability to speak to yourself. You have the ability to speak to your challenges. Using Joel Osteen words, don’t speak to GOD about how big your challenges/opportunities for growth are, speak to your challenges how BIG Your GOD Is!

Be Gentle with yourself, be your BEST Advocate, but MOST Importantly, remember that you are much stronger than you think!
